Star Bear Program Anglicare Inc
The Star Bear program is a partnership between Anglicare Loss and Grief Centre.
Star Bear is a grief support program for children aged 5-12. For teenagers up to 17 there is the Star Bound program for teenagers who are grieving the death of a parent, sibling or significant person.
Children attend a weekend camp conducted by trained mentors/leaders. The programe aims to increase children’s understanding of death and the grieving process, as well as providing them with the opportunity to share their experiences with other children. both camps aee run by proffesionals and volunteairs in the area.

Services provided:
- Individual child or family counselling, Anglicare Loss and Grief Centre
- Information services about grief for children and adults can be provided for schools or the wider community
- Follow up support for bereavement
- weekly camps for Starbear children bewteen 5-12 and Starbound for teenagers up to 17
