AIDS Council Of South Australia

The AIDS Council of SA seeks to promote the best health and quality of life for members of the four communities most affected by HIV/AIDS: People living with HIV/AIDS and those who are close to them; gay men and other homosexually active men; injecting drug users, and sex workers. ACSA works to achieve its aims by advocating for the interests of these communities and through providing a wide range of quality education, information, care and support services.

Positive Living Centre

People Living with HIV/AIDS SA Inc provides this social drop in and health centre for people living with HIV. Support and complementary therapies available, including Friday lunches, treatment information, a volunteer program, support groups, transport assistance, positive speakers bureau, forums and newsletters.

The Care and Prevention Programme

This programme of the Department of General Practice at the University of Adelaide is co-located with a medical practice with expertise in HIV and in gay and lesbian health. The programme facilitates the health care of people with HIV and people who may be at increased risk of HIV infection. Referral can be made by any GP via a special referral form available from the programme.
