The Star Bear program is a partnership between Anglicare Loss and Grief Centre and Flinders University.
Star Bear is a grief support program for children aged 5-16 who are grieving the death of a parent, sibling or significant person.
Children attend a weekend camp conducted by trained mentors/leaders. The programe aims to increase children’s understanding of death and the grieving process, as well as providing them with the opportunity to share their experiences with other children.
During the camp a parent/carer programe is available for adults to connect with others with similar concerns. Both the camps and parent days are facilitated by qualifiied professional and volunteers who are trained in working with people who have experienced loss.
Please contact Star Bear with any questions/enrolment form.
